Hi everyone!
If this is the first time you’re planning to visit Paris, or you are just seeking for some travel inspiration, you’re at the right place.
I was lucky enough to be surprised with this 2 day romantic getaway, by my boyfriend, and let me tell you something, it really is magical. Below I’ve listed the things we got up to (take it as a rough itinerary you could use for your trip if you like). The city of lights is a destination that everyone needs to experience at least once! This ultimate Paris travel guide will help you plan an unforgettable trip!
DAY 1 - Sight Seeing
First things first, and it’s to no surprise, start you day by visiting the Eiffel Tower!
Standing at 324 meters tall, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognisable monuments in the world, and today it shines bright as the architectural icon of France’s esteemed capital, landing it a spot on pretty much everyones bucket list. With over 7 million visitors each year, it’s the most visited, paid-for, monument in the world.
With that said you need to be prepared - buy your tickets online many weeks in advance- as you wont find tickets on the day. Tickets come in two stages - to access the first and second floor and then to access the top floor (summit). Make sure to book an early morning ticket so that you can enjoy the Eiffel Tower and then have plenty of time to head off to the rest of your destinations.

Walk on from here to the Champs Élysées, Paris’s premier boulevard. Indulge in some window shopping and stay on the lookout for famous high-end fashion stores. Here you can find plenty of restaurants for some lunch while admiring the beauty of this 1.9km long road that leads to the Arc de Triomphe one of the most famous monuments in Paris.

At this point you’ll probably need to recharge your batteries for a while. There’s plenty of cafes down the road so you can choose any and just take a break. Once you feel ready to continue your adventure, make your way to the famous Louvre Museum. This is the perfect place for art lovers! Not only is this the home of the world famous Mona Lisa painting, but also the Winged Victory of Samothrace, Venus de Milo and lots of ancient artefacts and sculptures.

Once you have been overwhelmed with all the incredible art work, I would highly recommend going for a walk in the nearby Jardin des Tuileries, a long beautiful park that stretches all the way to the Place de la Concorde. Chill out in the heart of Paris but keep an eye out for the con artists. Grab a coffee to go from one of the cafés and watch the ducks by the lake and if you’re like me, this is your time to “people watch” as you go.
Personally these are the top tourist attractions that I would recommend during your two day getaway.
This would probably bring you closer to the end of the day. By then you’d most likely be pretty tired, and would just want your bed after walking all day. But since you’re in Paris for only 48 hours make the most of your time there. Use the rest of the day to wonder around the romantic streets of Paris, whilst taking in the amazing view of the Eiffel tower as it sparkles throughout the night.
DAY 2 - Disneyland
Of course I couldn’t plan this trip without visiting Disneyland. Definitely brings out the child in all of us, and that’s a fact. Now the big question is: Is one day enough?
Well for me that’s a Yes and a No. You can hit the highlights of both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park in one day. Of course if you really want to take your time with everything then I’d definitely suggest to you to book a longer trip.
You have the option of purchasing a 1-Park ticket or 2-Park ticket if you visit for just one day. Sticking with one park is arguably the best option for your time and money. However, you'll miss major attractions that are unique to Disneyland Paris.
If you choose one park, I'd pick Disneyland over Walt Disney Studios. It's bigger, and you'll get the classic Disneyland experience plus fresh takes on favourite attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Sleeping Beauty Castle. You'll find a few unique attractions as well.
I would recommend buying your tickets in advance, and if you can afford it definitely go for the jump the cue tickets as there was a wait of minimum 30 minutes for each ride.
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this blog, and
I hope this helps you out with any future planning.
